The HarborArts Outdoor Gallery at the 14-acre Boston Harbor Shipyard at 256 Marginal Street in East Boston invites the public to take a stroll through this working shipyard for a walking tour of the first international outdoor exhibition of large-scale 2D and 3D artworks by over 25 artists from three continents, including works by renown and emerging sculptors from the region. The Opening Celebration with the artists and information tables by environmental organizations is scheduled on Saturday, June 12th from 2 to 5pm. Refreshments will be available.
HarborArts is a global community bringing people together to champion the vital role our oceans, waterways and harbors play in the future of our planet. HarborArts employs the arts to raise awareness for issues affecting our water resources. HarborArts is featuring the Massachusetts Ocean Coalition and information about the member organizations, highlighting their important environmental work on the Massachusetts Ocean Plan. The Urban Arts Institute at Massachusetts College of Art and Design is project consultant.
